Angelita Nixon, CNM
Angy has practiced as a CNM in hospitals, birth centers, and homes since 1998. She currently practices as a full scope midwife at her homebirth practice. She holds licensure in WV and OH, active memberships in MAWV, ACNM , MANA, and DONA, and is the secretary of MANA.

Danette Condon, DEM, Certified Domestic Violence Advocate.
Danette was drawn to midwifery as a civil rights issue and has over 20 years experience supporting homebirth and 18 years experience as a victim advocate and community educator for domestic violence victims. She became a direct entry midwife with the support of her community and the Midwives Alliance of West Virginia apprenticeship model.

Martha Blizzard White, DEM
Martha has practiced midwifery care for 20 years: providing home birth services, hospital assistance, and childbirth education. She has extensive experience as a home visitor and working with pregnant women and mothers of pre-school children in both public and private programs.

Merilee Taylor, RN 
An RN since 1977, her Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certification in 1983 and NACOG Certification in OB Specialties. She has served as staff nurse, delivery room resuscitation nurse and NICU transport nurse. She has worked in L&D, Home Health and has been teaching NRP for 15 years.

Ruth Walsh, CPM, RN, BSN, MA
Ruth has served as past Regional Representative of MANA, past Chair of NARM and past President of the Midwives Alliance of WV. She helped develop the CPM credential, is a Qualified Educator and has served women as a midwife for several decades.

Stephanie Nicodemus, CNM
Stephanie has been caring for the underserved as a nurse and a midwife for 35 years in both rural and urban settings and with a variety of cultural groups. Currently employed as a CNM, she is also working with the WV Perinatal Partnership to develop statewide guidelines for screening, testing and referral to treatment for substance-abusing pregnant women.

Teresa Stire, MA
Teresa is a PhD student in counseling psychology focusing on the psychological impact of birth on women and psychological healing following traumatic birth. She serves as Regional Coordinator with ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network). She is a doula, and a psychotherapist at the Carruth Center in Morgantown, WV. She has 4 children and is a proud VBA3C homebirth mom.
